Mountain Jade’s carving studio tour runs for approximately 40 minutes and departs at 10:00 AM daily. Designed to fit easily into a Rotorua itinerary, the tour is ideal for visitors wanting an immersive cultural experience that is informative, engaging and accessible for all ages.

Guests get up close to the action and spend unforgettable one-on-one time with local experts learning about the jade carving process and watching live carving demonstrations. As well as learning about cultural and historical significance of the stone and its traditional uses and values, visitors get a chance to try original Māori carving techniques using sandstone.
