Luke Leaf
The artist behind this creationLuke spent the first 18 years of his life growing up in Ross, a small town on the West Coast of the South Island, also the home of New Zealand greenstone. From a tender age, Luke's artistic curiosity encompassed a wide range of art forms. It was during his time in High School that he was first introduced to Jade Carving through work experience, an encounter that sparked a deep connection with the art form. After completing high school, Luke immersed himself in the world of jade carving, honing his skills through work in various jade carving businesses. The dedicated pursuit of excellence allowed him to refine his craftsmanship.
Symbolising the bond between two people, connecting the lives of friends, family or loved ones.
The Twist
The Twist is thought to represent two people's life path. Like the continuous shape of the pikorua, life for both individuals will continue despite many unexpected twists and turns, inevitably bringing them together again one day.
