Tupuānuku by Daniel Malcolm
Represents foods which grow from the ground. The Pikorua design connects two Pīkopiko (native plant in NZ) representing how you continuously grow in life and it is a never ending journey. The Manaia portrays the spiritual connection in how Tupuānuku grounds us from harvesting our own kai (food). It portrays that we are gatherers of both food and mātauranga (knowledge).
