Based in Rotorua, our award-winning carvers shape each piece of pounamu by hand, honouring the traditions, stories, and significance it carries.

Each piece is unique, and begins with the stone itself. Its colour, grain and natural form guide the design before it is cut, shaped, and refined to reveal the character within. Explore the many forms of pounamu.
“We are a crew of unique individuals with a common goal to live, learn & grow through our culture, our art, and our stone.”

Passed down through generations, this craft is carried forward through skill, care, and attention to detail. Working together and learning from one another, the artists honour tradition as each piece of pounamu becomes a taonga with its own expression.
“What drives us as pounamu artists, is knowing that everything we create is forever.”
Taonga holds deep significance as treasured expressions of meaning, connection, and identity within te ao Māori. As we carve, we bring intention to each design - from the protection of the manaia to the unfolding spiral of the koru - shaping pounamu with its meaning always in mind.
“The meaning of each piece is not added at the end, it is revealed through the carving, shaped by the flow, form and spirit of the stone.”

“Different hands, backgrounds and approaches come together through a shared focus on the stone and what it can become.”
