READING TIME TWO MINUTES  WORDS BY JACOB SHEEHAN

Today's a great day. It marks the culmination of over three months work behind a camera photographing designs being carved in jade. Today we launch our stop motion video series.

The aim was to point a light at the hands of our reclusive jade carvers whilst carving four designs, and reveal the journey each piece goes on. Using a macro lense we photographed the designs in 20 second intervals, capturing every minute development over the space of seven days. A test of patience. We took over 2000 frames, and merged them into four thirty second 'videos.' The result is an expose on the not often seen process toki, koru, twist, and fish hook designs go through as they're carved. Discover our craft below.
